When I look at this painting, I can feel the breeze from the Mediterranean Ocean, soft and warm. Art with a French Riviera theme always brings sunshine, warm weather and not just the Mediterranean Ocean but also the beautiful and scenic French Countryside to my mind.
This is Ms. Wojahn's painting of a woman as she is reading a red book. Is this woman on vacation? Did she just read a letter that made her sad? Was it a letter from a loved one? Perhaps a former lover, declaring his undying love for her?
This beautiful art work shows a woman sitting at a round table covered with a red table cloth. On the table is a red flower bouquet in a vase. It looks like the woman is drinking a cup of tea or coffee and enjoying one of those awesome french pastries while reading a lusty novel in her red book. Red books always remind me of love, lust and intrigue.
The warm colors of this painting inspire me to fantasize that he, the secret lover, is a french count of noble birth, who wants to marry his American princess.
Whimiscal sailboats and buildings in the background define Holly Wojahn's
