The flowers in her Flower Bouquet are either fresh-cut flowers in a vase filled with water or live flowers planted in a flower pot filled with soil.
Once again, Brooke Howie's style becomes evident in the painting of the table, the green foliage and the way she paints her flowers.
Brooke Howie paints most of her green leaves with bold and strong brushstrokes. When looking at several of her Floral Art Paintings, her style becomes quickly evident.
Most of her other Flower Paintings show a Mixed Flower Bouquet. With the exception of her Sunflower Paintings, this painting is the second of only two paintings that show a Flower Bouquet (sometimes spelled bouqet or boquet) with like flowers.
The artist, Brooke Howie, used bright yellow and blue colors:
- yellow to show a bright and sunny day and
- blue to show the french countryside decor
